About me

My name is Blake Carpenter but you can call me Gio.

For much of my life, I felt like I was walking in the dark—disconnected, numb, searching for something I couldn’t name. In my youth and into my thirties, I turned to substances to fill the void, to quiet the noise, to cope. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to feel—it was that feeling seemed too much, too raw, too directionless. But eventually, that path left me hollow. I knew something had to change.

The shift came slowly, and gently—first in nature. I started spending time in the woods, not for any specific purpose, just to be. Sitting on the forest floor, listening to the wind through the trees, watching the sunlight filter through the leaves—I began to feel something stir. For the first time in a long time, I was quiet enough to hear my own spirit whispering beneath the surface.

Then I discovered meditation, and with it, a new kind of stillness. I found comfort in the breath, in turning inward, in reconnecting with the parts of myself I had long ignored or abandoned. And yet, something was missing. I missed the forest, the grounding presence of the Earth. That’s when I realized I didn’t have to choose one or the other—I could blend both, weaving together inner stillness with the outer sanctuary of nature.

That was the seed of Wellness Alchemy. A space born not from perfection, but from the messiness of healing. From the alchemical journey of turning pain into presence, disconnection into belonging. I’ve always felt deeply drawn to support others, and over time I began to understand that perhaps this—this quiet, heart-centered way—was my true calling.

Wellness Alchemy is not about fixing or becoming someone new. It’s about arriving, fully, in who you are. It’s about honoring the truth of your path—however winding—and learning to listen again. Through meditation, nature-based practice, and intuitive connection, this is a space to rediscover your balance, your peace, your light.

A Little More

Music has always been a central thread in my life. From folk to metal, new age to electro pop, I’ve explored sound as a way of expression and healing. All the music you’ll hear in our meditation sessions is composed and produced by me, intentionally crafted to deepen your experience.

Beyond music, I’m also a passionate student of history—especially the Middle Ages and Renaissance. I’m an active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), where I’m known as Giordano Paulo Orsini. The name Giordano, with roots in Italian and Georgian culture, comes from the Greek “Georgios” and means “earth-worker”—a nod to groundedness that resonates with my work today. Most people just call me Gio.

About five years ago, I found myself nearly 300 pounds. I began to pay attention—not just to what I ate, but to how I lived. I didn’t follow strict diets or drastically cut portions; I simply became more mindful of ingredients and more present in my daily life. That shift, both physical and spiritual, helped me lose nearly 90 pounds over two years. I’m still on the journey—but one thing I know is that change becomes sustainable when it comes from a place of awareness and self-respect.
